at Lee Baysden Pond
Once a small mill pond with a long history dating back to the 1700s, Baysden Pond has evolved into a 22-acre lake centered within our 80-acre wildlife paradise and campground.
The beauty of the lake, combined with the rural country landscape of farmland and forest, makes for breathtaking sunrise and sunset views. It's a wonderful place to relax and enjoy peace or have the family out to camp, fish, swim, or hike around the lake. Watch for birds and wildlife that inhabit the lake and the lands.
We offer day fishing passes (non-campers) that provide access to some of NC's finest Bass fishing, boat and kayak rentals, tackle/camp store (open on the weekends and by reservations), tent camping, RV/Camper hookups, and Unique Cabins! We have an A-frame Couples Cabin and a Floating Cabin with covered front porch. More unique stays to come! We would also love to help you with a location to host your youth church groups, scouts/rangers, or events.
JCO is a Finalist for Best NC Hipcamp for 2023 and 2024 and Airbnb Super hosts. We have been featured in Southeast North Carolina Magazine, the Duplin Visitor's Guide, and Tiny House Magazine. We host exclusive photographers, vloggers, and videographers.
ALL Guests must have reservations as we are privately owned and operated. Pet and Family Friendly.
We meet and greet all cabin (3-8pm) and camping guests (2-8pm) for check in by reservations only.
No seasonal or extended stay camping opportunities. Daily and Weekly rates for RV campsites or Cabins.

The Floating Cabin
Sip your morning coffee with the gas fireplace glowing, fish from the covered front porch or paddle out on the canoe, spend the evening playing cards or snuggled out watching a movie. Our Floating cabin is built for slowing down.
The A-frame Cabin
A cozy Glamping retreat tucked beside the lake, perfect for couples who love being outdoors. Enjoy your own private firepit, Outdoor Hot water shower, and get kitty visits from our Camp Cat, Tail! Waterfront views and Canoe included.

Waterfront RV Sites
Bring your camper and enjoy waterfront views, dark starry night skies around a campfire, and the best fishing. Our 9 RV sites offer water and electric hookups, mobile septic service for weekly and weekend getaways. 30amp and 50amp options
Tent Sites
Unplug, slow, down, and enjoy a little time by the water at our primitive tent sites. Spend the afternoon fishing and evenings gathered around a campfire. Views vary by site, from the swamp and creek sights and sounds, Secluded little pond, or the sunset cove sites.

"My husband and I try to camp monthly to recharge from busy schedules. We have preferred tent sites. Little Pond is awesome for more secluded quiet. Timber Creek great for wildlife. With our schedules we don't always know when we can camp until last minute. Owners are always very accommodating. Entire grounds are always clean and maintained. If you want to stay at grounds that are truly cared for, this is the best! We have also enjoyed both The A-frame Cabin and The Floating Cabin when camping was not as pleasurable."
