April-October Office/Store opened Friday afternoons-Sunday Afternoons or open by Camping and Rental Reservations. We meet and greet all Camping and Cabin Reservations. (Camping and Cabin Reservations available year-round).

The camp store is originally the Kitchen to the original homeplace. You can still see Mr. Lee Baysden signature inside featuring his pay pond open date as June 1956. Inside we have basic fishing gear, Nightcrawlers and Redworms (Mike's Baits), basic tackle, pictures, drinks, ice creams, firewood, JCO Merchandise, and more. JCO Fishing & Day Passes
Lee Baysden Pond offers many types of fishing. However, many guests love to enjoy the Bass Fishing. Whether on Boat or Bank see if you have what it takes to catch one of our prized fish! We work alongside our JCO Pro Staff and an NC Biologist for pond management and tagging bass. We are catch and release only. Must have valid NC Fishing License and follow all boating and fishing regulations. Ages 12 and under are required to wear life jackets at all times. No Alcohol allowed. Hours are sunrise-dark.
Campers enjoy bringing your own kayaks, canoes, and trolling boats free of charge.
JCO Fishing passes available through our easy invoicing system when we are not in office. We do require all guests to make reservations as we may be closed due to pond management, events, or full campground capacity.

KAYAK & BOAT RENTALS
We welcome all guests to bring your kayaks and trolling boats out to the lake for a day or weekend of fishing or paddling around.
Rentals:
Single Kayaks $8.00/Hour or $40.00/Full day.
Canoe $10/Hour or $50/ Full day
Tandem Kayak $10/Hour or $50/ Full day
Peddle Boat $10/Hour or $50/ Full day
Paddle ONLY Jon Boat $10.00/hour or $50.00/Full day
(These rates do not include the fishing passes for non-campers/day guests) Rentals available by reservations ONLY and first come basis.
Bass Tagging Program
We currently have over 40+ tagged bass, recorded, and released since 2023. Tagged bass will have a small yellow tag just under their dorsal fin with a website and tag number.
Please report to us tag numbers, weight, length, and photos if you are able to get.
