About the event
Juniper Creek Outfitters and Guide Service at Historic Lee Baysden Pond hosts our fall event of the 2023 season. We invite out boaters (canoes and kayakers too) to sign up and participate in this event.
RULES & REGULATIONS: -Any boat with working live well. (Can be a cooler and aerator) Must have a live well! -$40 entry Fee -15 boat- entry maximum limit (Please Pre-Register!) -3 BASS limit (you cannot cull dead fish, 1/2 lb penalty) -Artificial Bait Only! LEE Baysden Pond Is OFF LIMITS to all contestants/entries week of tournament starting September 24th-29th. -Blast off at 6:30am will be a random draw. -Have your boat in the water and live wells checked by 6:15am. Unload boat from ramp as quickly as possible. -NC Wildlife can check boat registrations and fishing licenses. Any ticketing will result in disqualification. -Weigh-in 12:30pm. Meet back at boat ramp/office area. -Payout 80%. 20% to JCO for hosting and maintenance. -LEE Baysden POND will only be open to contestants during time of event. Re-open after 1pm. Any contestants/entries in tournament may fish the rest of the afternoon.
PRIZES: -1st Place & 2nd Places Paid (3rd if we have full tournament) OPTIONAL SIDE POTS: -Big BASS ($10) -Biggest Non-Bass Species ($10) *Bowfin, Pike, Catfish, NO PANFISH* -If no Trash fish Caught during tournament a 1-hour Panfish tournament will determine winner.
JCO has RV and tent sites available for this event! Message us if you would like to reserve a site.
We will also be taking votes for a Crappie Tournament and date TBD.
