Perseids Stargazing Nights at JCO

The Perseids Meteor Shower in August produces the best Shower of the year with up to 100 Meteors per hour. JCO Campground at Lee Baysden Pond offers dark nights away from light pollution for stargazing! We have Cabins, RV sites and Tent sites available.

Watch the night skies each night starting at around 10pm with more Meteors falling after midnight to pre-dawn. August 12th is the Peak Night! Enjoy a campfire and smores while you wait. (Quiet time is 10pm-6am so just be respectful of noise level for your camping neighbors who can't hang all night) Several Gas firepits are also available for rent on first come reservations and availability. Or use the wood firepits at each campsite.
